Job Description AltaGas - Relief Operator, Pipestone Facility
We are currently seeking a Relief Operator for our Pipestone Facility located near Grande Prairie, AB. This position will work with our full-time operations staff to provide added support, ensuring operational activities are conducted in a safe and effective manner. The shift schedule for this facility is 7 days on, 7 days off, rotating night/day shift, 12 hours per day.
You will:
- Take Plant readings and perform equipment checks
- Safety equipment checks
- Assist Plant Operators in daily tasks such as locking out and purging equipment for maintenance, changing filters, and pigging pipelines.
- Assist with the safe work permitting for maintenance tasks.
- Assist with safe preparation and lockout of equipment for maintenance.
You have:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering certificate or working towards it
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- A positive attitude and desire to learn
