- PRN PositionThis position will share on-call responsibility for X-Ray department. Will be on-call 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month. Will also work in the department during staffed hours on an as needed basis.Functions include but are not limited to patient preparation, diagnostic x-rays and performing additional tasks as directed. Must know proper operation of all equipment in your expertise and practice safety in radiation exposure. Use radiation protection on self and patients whenever possible. Be able to produce a radiograph to present for proper medical evaluation. Must maintain strictest confidentiality according to hospital and HIPAA guidelines. Must maintain effective communication with physicians, patients, department staff and other hospital employees. Must have computer skills, be able to work in order entry and work with orders to properly order and charge exams. Must treat all patients with dignity, respect and concern for their well being.Must have a current, valid Kansas License as Radiology Technician and be registered with the ARRT. Must have or be willing to obtain BLS. Previous CT experience preferred.
