Reporting to the Chief Enterprise Architect, you’ll define scalable, secure, AI-ready data architectures that unify clinical, operational, and commercial information. This hands-on individual contributor role combines deep data engineering expertise with enterprise-wide architectural leadership, helping transform how data is managed, governed, and consumed. Join us to build the foundation for smarter decisions and better patient outcomes.

What We Offer

- Competitive compensation

- Comprehensive health and dental coverage

- Paid time off and company holidays

- Flexible remote work arrangements across Canada

- Employee wellness and professional development programs

What You’ll Be Doing

- Define and own enterprise data architecture blueprints, principles, and reference patterns supporting ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption across the data lifecycle.

- Architect our next-generation cloud-based data platform, including lakehouse architecture, bronze/silver/gold data layers, batch and streaming pipelines, change data capture, and canonical data models.

- Establish architectural standards for data quality, security, master data management, observability, orchestration, and DataOps, ensuring scalability, regulatory alignment, and reliable data delivery.

- Provide hands-on technical guidance through architecture reviews, design decisions, reference implementations, and collaboration with engineering teams and external delivery partners.

- Drive enterprise data maturity improvements across technology, processes, and teams while enabling advanced analytics, AI/ML applications, regulatory reporting, and trusted data access.

What We Look For

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 5+ years of experience in senior data architecture, enterprise data architecture, or principal-level data engineering roles.

- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end data engineering architectures, including ingestion, transformation, modeling, storage, and serving.

- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python or equivalent programming languages, and practical experience with production data pipelines.

- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS or equivalent), lakehouse and warehouse architectures, batch and streaming technologies, CDC, and Kafka or comparable tools.

- Practical knowledge of orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, relational and document databases, data governance, and master data management.

- Proven ability to influence architectural decisions, challenge technical designs constructively, and lead cross-functional change initiatives.

- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and external technology partners.

- Familiarity with regulated industries, clinical data standards, or AI/ML data architectures is an advantage.

- Ability to work remotely from Canada, with appropriate authorization to work in Canada.
