Mechanical Testing Technician (2nd Shift)

Job description

Overview Element has openings for Mechanical Testing Technicians. You will perform hands-on testing of aerospace materials while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with established procedures. Join a growing aerospace materials testing laboratory where you'll play a critical role in evaluating materials used in high-performance applications. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, engineering students, laboratory professionals, or mechanically inclined individuals looking to launch and grow a technical career. Previous experience as a Mechanical Testing Technician is not required. Training will be provided for candidates with strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Compensation & Schedule: $20-$25 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities

- Operating mechanical testing equipment

- Preparing and testing material samples

- Recording and entering test data

- Using hand tools and precision measurement equipment

- Following detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

- Maintaining quality and traceability of tested materials

- Supporting a safe and organized laboratory environment

Skills / Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail

- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

- Comfort working with computers and data entry

- Experience using hand tools or measurement devices

- Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation
